Ethics, Boundaries, and Agreements

I care about the well-being of my clients and thereby subscribe to the following Code of Ethics.

  • I strive to create safety and trust for all of my clients and I will treat all clients with respect and kindness. I will be aware of, sensitive to, and continue to educate myself about the many facets and intersections of my clients' identities, including, but not limited to: culture, race, religion, ability, gender identity, age, and sexual orientation.

  • I will represent honestly my education and experience with the tarot and other spiritual/magical practices.

  • The names of clients and information shared or discussed during readings will be kept confidential. If a client threatens to hurt themselves or others or discloses child abuse or abuse of an elder or at-risk adult, I have an ethical duty to report this to either law enforcement or social services.

  • I will recommend clients consult a licensed professional for advice of a legal, financial, medical, or psychological nature that I am not qualified to provide.

  • I will respect my clients’ right to refuse or terminate their reading at any time.

  • I will not perform a reading for anyone under the age of 13 unless their parent is present at the time of the reading. Under no circumstances will I perform a distance/virtual reading for anyone under the age of 13.

  • I will answer questions about the reading to the best of my ability. I will tell the truth of what I see, and will respect the wishes of a client who does not want to hear everything I have to say.

  • I will work to better my skills so that I may serve my clients to the best of my ability.

  • I will remind my clients that they are ultimately the ones responsible for what happens in their life. The tarot and other spiritual/magical practices will magnify and complement one's efforts to improve one's life, but are not a replacement for "doing the work" in the mundane world.

My personal boundaries as a magical practitioner

  • I provide free readings and education on my terms only. If it's not something you can book through my website or is offered by me personally, don't ask.

  • I do not respond to all DMs or emails. I am often happy to answer some questions, but always try Google first.

  • If I feel uncomfortable with a client interaction, I reserve the right to end the reading.

  • Please do not touch my, or any other reader's, tarot cards or intuitive tools without permission.

Agreement for Spellwork

Spellwork can be a powerful way to change your fate for the better and spells can be done for almost any situation. However, the results are influenced by many factors including, but not limited to:

  • The actions of the client in the mundane world. Spellwork is meant to bolster one's efforts. Unfortunately, you can't just sit at home "waiting for your spell to work." Magical work can bring opportunities to your doorstep. However, it is your responsibility to recognize and act upon them when they present themselves, even if they don't look like what you envisioned.

  • The actions of other people. The free will and actions of others can impact or impede the results of your work.

  • Circumstances beyond the control of the client or the practitioner. These may exist in the spiritual, energetic, or mundane world.

While I am a knowledgeable worker and will bring my best efforts for my clients, I cannot guarantee that every spell will yield the exact results you wish for. Therefore:

  • I will not agree to conduct spellwork on your behalf without an initial Spellwork Consultation (i.e. "Spiritual Diagnosis"), which can booked through my website.

  • I do not offer refunds if the spellwork does not meet your expectations.

If I do provide spellwork services on your behalf, you will be required to agree to the following:

  • You are informed of and have belief in the basics of folk magic and divination and wish to use these practices to resolve specific issues in your life.

  • You are not substituting magical work for legal, medical, psychological, financial or other professional advice.

  • You acknowledge that the results of the spellwork done on your behalf cannot be guaranteed.

  • You agree to take appropriate steps in the mundane world to improve your circumstances.
