Political Witch: Create The World You Want to Live In is a zine for US-based witches and magical practitioners who have a vision of a better world. It's a toolkit with magical and practical strategies, written by a magical practitioner with 20+ years of organizing and advocacy experience under her belt.
Magic and witchcraft are about beating the odds and creating change in situations where it seems like change isn’t possible. Within that framework, witchcraft and magic are inherently political.This zine will offer witches and magical people who are already creating change in their community some of the tools and techniques that grassroots organizers have been using for decades.
We need an army of new leaders in every corner of society and I can’t think of any better community to answer that call than witches and magical folks. We already get stuff done. If we add some time-tested organizing strategy to the cauldron, we will not just change what we don’t like in the world - we’ll co-create a world that we can actually thrive in. This is long-game strategy, but we need that in addition to quick mobilization. All hands on deck. The goal is to distribute Political Witch in all 50 states.
